Outgoing Foreign Minister Donika Gërvalla announced the dinner she had last night with the EU High Representative Kaja Kallas, who during her visit to Kosovo also brought the news of the EU’s decision for the gradual lifting of punitive measures against Kosovo.

Gërvalla did not mention this EU decision but referred to several other issues she said she emphasized to the European top diplomat.

“During the working dinner, I discussed with Ms. Kaja Kallas the Kosovo–EU relations, European reforms, and the Growth Plan. Kosovo has made extraordinary progress in internal reforms and aligning with the EU’s foreign and security policy. The full implementation of the Basic Agreement and its annex is an important step for progress in the dialogue and regional stability. However, Serbia must be held accountable for the terrorist attack in Banjskë, and Millan Radojčić must surrender to Kosovo authorities,” she stated.

Gërvalla also said that she spoke about “the systematic violations of the rights of Albanians in the Luginë region, which remain evident and are a serious concern for the Republic of Kosovo and need to be urgently addressed by the EU.”
