Accra, Ghana – In a significant diplomatic development, Jetlir Zyberaj, acting as a special envoy of President Behgjet Pacolli, held an official and productive meeting with President John Dramani Mahama at the presidential palace, Jubilee House, in Accra.
During the meeting, President Mahama reaffirmed Ghana’s unwavering stance on the recognition of the Republic of Kosovo’s independence. He emphasized that this decision aligns with Ghana’s democratic and peace-oriented values. Moreover, Mahama categorically denied previous claims by Serbian authorities suggesting that Ghana had withdrawn its recognition of Kosovo, labeling such reports as completely false.
Zyberaj highlighted the importance of strengthening ties with friendly nations and praised Ghana’s position as a model of sincere international partnership. He also noted that Kosovo’s new institutions must intensify efforts to preserve and develop relations with countries that have supported its independence and statehood.
