The Mayor of Gjilan, Alban Hyseni, has stated that emergency teams have intervened in road sections that became difficult to navigate due to heavy rainfall.
“Due to the rain and the conditions created on several road segments, we, together with municipal teams, are on the ground closely monitoring the situation across the entire territory of Gjilan. The Directorate for Protection and Rescue, in coordination with the Directorate of Public Services, has intervened in several problematic areas and continues ongoing monitoring to ensure the safety of citizens and the normal functioning of traffic,” Hyseni said.
Call for Caution
Mayor Hyseni urged citizens to exercise extra caution while traveling and to use alternative routes where necessary until the situation stabilizes.
“I call on citizens to be especially careful during travel and, where necessary, to use alternative roads until the situation is fully stabilized,” he added.
