The Deputy Chairman of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Glauk Konjufca, stated that his party has ruled out any coalition with the PDK, while revealing that they have had willingness to cooperate with Fatmir Limaj.
According to Konjufca, the LDK has twice rejected Kurti’s invitation for cooperation, whereas Limaj is the only option who has shown openness to an agreement.
“LDK opposed us twice. We sent two letters to Prime Minister Kurti, and from Vetëvendosje’s side there is no will for a coalition with PDK. We are willing to form a government with whoever is willing, and we have encountered willingness from the other side as well. In this case, I am referring to Mr. Limaj, for example,” Konjufca said in an interview with ATV.
He emphasized that the constitution of the Assembly will reveal whether Kurti has the numbers to form a government; otherwise, the path will open for other parties or new elections.
“If Mr. Kurti does not have the capacity to build the numbers for the government, then it will be Bedri Hamza’s turn, or whoever else, at the discretion of the President to give a second chance. After this, all options will be exhausted, and we will be on a clear path toward elections,” Konjufca concluded.
