NATO’s mission in Kosovo has announced that KFOR, EULEX, and the Kosovo Police will jointly carry out training exercises as part of the “Golden Sword 2025” drill, scheduled to take place on June 9 and 10 at Camp Vrellë in Prishtina.

According to KFOR, the exercise will test the implementation of crisis management procedures across a range of security scenarios and will enhance the ability of these organizations to operate in close coordination.

“The exercise will involve over 600 personnel. ‘Golden Sword 2025’ is yet another tangible demonstration of the strong and long-term cooperation between KFOR, EULEX, and the Kosovo Police,” the statement reads.

Notably, for the first time, the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) will also participate in this exercise. The KSF will take part in accordance with its original civil protection mandate, specifically in training activities focused on the safe handling and disposal of explosive ordnance and hazardous materials, KFOR added.
