The Basic Court of Prishtina has sentenced Goran Rakić to 3 months of conditional imprisonment and a 1,000 euro fine. Rakić, who was accused of not accurately reporting the required data on the asset declaration form in his capacity as the Minister for Communities and Return, faced these charges.

The verdict was announced on Wednesday by Judge Naime Krasniqi-Jashanica, following the court’s approval of a plea agreement.

According to the verdict, the 3-month prison sentence will not be executed if the accused, Rakić, does not commit another criminal offense within a one-year verification period.

Rakić is required to pay the 1,000 euro fine within 15 days of the verdict becoming final.

If Rakić is unable to pay the fine, it will be converted into a prison sentence, with each day in prison accounting for 20 euros of the fine.

Additionally, Rakić is obligated to pay procedural costs as determined by the court, including a 100 euro judicial fee.
