The Government has approved on Friday the increase of pensions for all categories of individuals who emerged from the recent war in Kosovo.
The 20% increase was approved today as a result of an update to an annex in the Law on War Categories during a meeting on Friday to facilitate the increase.
“As we announced in October, today, officially, the 20% increase will be approved on the current amount for the families of martyrs, disabled veterans, veterans, members of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), victims of sexual violence, and civilian victims,” said Kurti.
This increase will benefit the families of martyrs, disabled veterans, veterans, members of the former Kosovo Liberation Army, victims of sexual violence during the war, and civilian victims.
For some categories, the increase will be more than the 20% rate.
Categories benefiting from an increase of more than 20% include families of KLA martyrs with two or more martyrs, families of KLA missing persons with more than two missing persons, and families of civilian victims, he stated.
