A fire erupted at a camp of militants from SNS, the party of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who claim to be “protecting” their leader, after gunshots were reportedly heard. One person has been arrested.

The camp was set up in the center of Belgrade, in front of the Serbian Parliament.

According to footage shared by MPs attending the parliamentary session, gunshots were heard, though it is unclear whether firearms were actually used.

The Ministry of Interior told N1 that they do not have confirmed information about gunfire.

Video from the Serbia Center (SRCE) party shows police arresting one individual. The reasons behind the incident remain unknown.

N1 reports that police have blocked access to that part of Nikola Pašić Square in Belgrade, and journalists are not being allowed near the fire scene.
