Hajrulla Çeku, the LVV candidate for Mayor of Prishtina, congratulated the winner of Sunday’s runoff, Përparim Rama, and expressed gratitude to his supporters for their dedication throughout the campaign.
In a post on Facebook, Çeku wrote:
“This campaign and my meetings with you over this period have been an extraordinary experience. The warmth you have given me is priceless. Thank you from the heart for every vote and every effort made for the change we believed in together. We are many, and this gives me strength and confidence for the future of Prishtina. This race showed how much people desire a better Prishtina. I sincerely congratulate Mr. Rama on his victory and wish our capital city well, hoping it emerges from the chaos it has been in.”
Çeku emphasized that, despite the electoral loss, LVV will continue to serve Prishtina from the opposition:
“As Lëvizja VETËVENDOSJE!, we will ensure that from the opposition in the Prishtina City Council, we remain close to the citizens and monitor every step of the incoming administration, ensuring that the interests of the people and the city are fully protected.”
