Xhavit Haliti from the Democratic Party of Kosovo has stated that the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has begun her lobbying efforts for re-election to this post.
According to him, Osmani is meeting primarily with the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), where, as he expressed, “her words are heard.”
However, Haliti mentioned that people from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) are also going to meet with Osmani.
“Now the battle for the president begins because she needs the votes. I know what’s going on behind the scenes. She needs two-thirds in the Assembly, and she is primarily lobbying with a party that listens to her, and also with others, as she has invited them for coffee. So, she is interested. Her words are heard by some. Even in PDK, her words are heard; don’t think there are no people in PDK who go to drink coffee with her, and there are such people in AAK as well. In LDK, there is a lot of resentment towards her, but there are also many who like her, and those who like her right now are the more influential figures in LDK,” Haliti declared on Teve1.
