The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have recently received two coffins from the Red Cross, containing the bodies of two deceased hostages. Hamas handed over the remains to the Red Cross in southern Gaza.

Hamas did not identify the hostages but stated that the bodies were discovered on Tuesday. Once the Israeli military takes possession, the bodies will be transferred to the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute in Tel Aviv for identification.

So far, Hamas has released 20 living Israeli hostages and returned the remains of 14 others in exchange for nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners, under the ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and Hamas on October 10, based on a phased plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump.
