The Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Bedri Hamza, today received a delegation from the European Union led by Emanuele Giaufret, Managing Deputy Director of the EEAS for Western Europe.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current political and economic developments in Kosovo, as well as the importance of deepening cooperation between Kosovo and the European Union.
Chairman Hamza welcomed the EU’s renewed attention to Kosovo and the region, highlighting the decision to lift certain restrictive measures as a positive step toward strengthening partnership and advancing the country’s European perspective.
He emphasized that a stable Kosovo and a stable region serve the common interests of all Western Balkan peoples and the European Union itself.
Hamza reaffirmed the PDK’s commitment to close cooperation with international partners and stressed the importance of continued EU support for Kosovo, particularly in addressing economic challenges and advancing reforms.
The meeting also reiterated that Kosovo’s strategic aspirations remain European Union integration and NATO membership, representing a clear orientation toward development, stability, and full Euro-Atlantic integration.
