The Mayor of South Mitrovica, Bedri Hamza, has dismissed all speculation regarding discussions about coalitions during his recent meeting with Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

Hamza clarified that their discussion focused exclusively on important projects for the city of Mitrovica, encompassing both its southern and northern parts.

“Our conversation was entirely about projects of common interest for the city of Mitrovica, for both sides, the south and the north,” Hamza stated on “Debat Plus.” “We discussed some legal obligations, one of which is the creation of a Joint Board, which will consist of 11 members: 5 from South Mitrovica, 5 from North Mitrovica, and 1 member to be appointed by the Government. We also mentioned other projects that will impact both sides of the city. As a citizen of Mitrovica, I am pleased that, without much fanfare, we have implemented important projects like the promenade along the Ibar River, which will connect both sides of the city.”

He emphatically added that the topic of coalitions was not part of their discussions at all.
