Pristina, 20 August 2025 – Ahead of the constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly, following the Constitutional Court’s ruling requiring the Assembly to convene within 30 days, AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj stated that his party does not expect a change in position from the ruling party.

Haradinaj reiterated that AAK will not vote for the VV-proposed Assembly Speaker, Albulena Haxhiu, but emphasized that the party remains open to alternative unifying candidates, including Shqipe Selimi and Saranda Bogujevci.

“I believe the situation is clear now. As you know, we do not have a vote for Haxhiu, but we may support other candidates, as we have said. I believe Kurti’s position has not changed; his goal is to continue holding the Kosovo Assembly hostage,” Haradinaj told the media.
