The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, has expressed his support for the upcoming protest in Strasbourg, which will take place on Sunday, November 16, in front of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The protest is organized to show solidarity with the former Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK) leaders currently being tried at The Hague.
Through a post on Facebook, Haradinaj reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the values and legacy of Kosovo’s liberation struggle.
“Forever UÇK! Always in support of the just liberation war!” wrote Haradinaj.
This statement comes amid growing calls from various veterans’ associations, civil groups, and citizens across Kosovo and the diaspora to defend the dignity of the UÇK fighters and to ensure that the liberation war is not criminalized.
Haradinaj, himself a former KLA commander and former Prime Minister, has repeatedly emphasized that the fight for freedom and independence remains the foundation of Kosovo’s statehood and national identity.
