Daut Haradinaj, an AAK deputy in the Kosovo Assembly, has condemned the arrest of Kosovo citizen Arbnor Spahiu by Serbian authorities, labeling it a “full-fledged kidnapping” by Aleksandar Vučić’s regime.
Accusations of Absurd Charges and Old Mentality
“The political arrest of the citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, Arbnor Spahiu, on absurd charges for a month now, is clear evidence that Serbia continues to operate with an old mentality,” Haradinaj declared. “This arrest constitutes a genuine kidnapping by the Serbian state, more precisely by Aleksandar Vučić’s regime.”
Haradinaj demanded that all bilateral meetings with Serbia be conditioned on Spahiu’s immediate and unconditional release. He emphasized that Serbia continues to behave as a “self-captured state” that violates every democratic principle and human right.
Call to Avoid Travel Through Serbia
Finally, Haradinaj urged all members of the security sector, including former KLA soldiers, to avoid traveling through Serbia due to the risk of politically motivated arrests.
