Ramush Haradinaj, leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), expressed satisfaction with the party’s strong performance in the local elections, noting increased votes nationally and victories in all municipalities the party previously governed.
Addressing the media, Haradinaj congratulated winning candidates and encouraged them to govern responsibly:
“Congratulations to all citizens for participating in free and fair elections today. I thank all institutions of the country for their work. I join the celebrations in Suharekë, where our colleagues are celebrating. I congratulate the citizens of Suharekë on their victory. Truly, Mayor Bali Muharremaj is the best. I also join the celebration in Rahovec, where citizens support their mayor, Smajl Latifi.”
Haradinaj also highlighted victories in other municipalities:
“I join the celebration in Gjakovë, where Ardian Gjini achieved a decisive victory — a very positive outcome for the city given the excellent work he has done. In Klinë, Mayor Zenun Elezi won convincingly. Even in Deçan, following the first round, celebrations continue. AAK has secured all municipalities it previously governed. This is a good result, and we are happy. It is also a responsibility, and I urge our mayors to work diligently for their citizens.”
