The leader of AAK, Ramush Haradinaj, commemorated the 27th anniversary of the heroic death of UÇK fighters Vesel Demaku, Valdet Xhemajli, and Afrim Hajdari.
In a Facebook post, Haradinaj described them as a teacher and his two students who held their positions until the very last breath, remaining an enduring inspiration of bravery on the path to freedom.
He also recalled the massacre in Abri, where Serbian forces executed the Deliu family.

“27 years since the heroic fall of the freedom fighters Vesel Demaku, Valdet Xhemajli, and Afrim Hajdari. The teacher with his two students, who did not abandon their positions until the very last breath, remain an inspiration of bravery on our path to freedom.
On the same day, in Abri, Serbian forces executed the Deliu family, sparing no one—from a few-month-old infant to a 94-year-old elder. They were innocent, yet no one was ever punished for their killing!
They were innocent, yet no one was ever held accountable for their murder. We will always stand by the families who lost their loved ones and will seek justice until the very last person.
Glory!”
