The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, has called for an urgent doubling of salaries for soldiers of the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) and the entire security sector.

Haradinaj made this appeal following the swearing-in ceremony of 344 new FSK soldiers held today. He emphasized that a dignified salary for military personnel, police, and intelligence services is both a governmental and national obligation.

“Our young people continue to demonstrate their dedication to the homeland and the country’s security. Today, 344 new soldiers were certified, taking on the responsibility of serving Kosovo with honor and commitment. This is a proud moment for them, their families, and the entire nation,” Haradinaj wrote.

He recalled the efforts to transform the FSK into an army, highlighting that Kosovo now has a force built according to the NATO model, ready to contribute to regional security and peacekeeping operations worldwide.

“It is urgent to double the salaries for the entire security sector in Kosovo, especially given the current circumstances in the region and beyond. A dignified salary for soldiers, police, and intelligence personnel is a governmental and national duty,” he concluded.
