Ramush Haradinaj, leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), stated today that the interim measure imposed by the Constitutional Court is short, lasting two weeks, and offers hope for new developments and a final measure afterward.
Critique of Assembly Management and Call for Positive Movement
Haradinaj affirmed that AAK always attends the Assembly sessions hoping for positive movement from those, as he put it, who have blocked the process. He added that AAK would vote for an acceptable candidate for Speaker.
The AAK leader also emphasized that the presiding speaker, Avni Dehari, is mismanaging the session, as reported by Telegrafi.
“Dehari is managing the session very poorly; there’s a kind of nervousness, I don’t know where that nervousness comes from, that fear that some tragedy will happen if someone says a word… I don’t understand such panic,” he said.
According to Haradinaj, there has always been, and continues to be, tolerance in parliament.
Elections as a Final Resort
When asked if AAK is ready for elections, Haradinaj confirmed they are. However, he stressed that elections should be the very last option.
“Elections should not be favored without exhausting all possibilities to form institutions,” he stated.
