Chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, has firmly ruled out supporting a third government led by Albin Kurti, stating that AAK’s five parliamentary votes will not go toward such a scenario.
In an appearance on the political program “Rubikon,” Haradinaj emphasized his preference for an opposition-led government and expressed openness to a broader coalition, provided it is not under Kurti’s leadership.
“I’ve always maintained that cooperation with Kurti is detrimental to Kosovo. Just listen to the way he talks. We don’t believe supporting Kurti 3 would serve the people of Kosovo. No vote, no coalition—there’s no scenario where we support a government led by him,” Haradinaj declared.
However, he noted that if parties like PDK or LDK lead the government—specifically citing Bedri Hamza, Lumir Abdixhiku, or even himself—AAK would not oppose participation from Vetëvendosje in a unity government.
“A government led by Lumir Abdixhiku, with Vetëvendosje joining, would be acceptable. Or one led by Bedri Hamza. We are not against a national unity government. But we will never vote for a Kurti 3.”
