The leader of the AAK, Ramush Haradinaj, openly expressed his disappointment with Fatmir Limaj, emphasizing that their past cooperation has not been respected.
“Wherever I went with Limaj, we sought votes for change against Kurti. This has not been respected, and it is painful. It’s not that I’ve been personally hurt, but we are working for the country and believe that loyalty is needed to move these processes forward. I haven’t felt good about it, I am saying this honestly, and I regret the situation,” Haradinaj said.
When asked whether AAK would vote for Fatmir Limaj as Speaker of the Assembly if the proposal came from VV, Haradinaj stressed that it would be a problem for them to give their vote under the current circumstances.
“I don’t have an answer. He has a problem with earning our vote for Limaj, especially with everything that has happened. If the opposition proposed him, yes, it would be different, we would have gladly voted for him,” he declared.
