Pristina, July 9, 2025 — The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, held a meeting today with the German Ambassador to Kosovo, Jorn Rohde, to discuss the ongoing political stalemate following the February parliamentary elections.

In a statement shared on social media, Haradinaj emphasized the urgency of overcoming the institutional deadlock that has left Kosovo without a functioning Assembly or new government for several months.

“I reaffirmed my and the Alliance’s commitment to contribute to a solution for breaking the months-long political impasse, with the goal of enabling the constitution of the Assembly and the formation of new institutions,” Haradinaj stated.

He also praised Germany’s continuous support for Kosovo and Ambassador Rohde’s proactive role in fostering dialogue during this challenging period.

“I am grateful to Ambassador Rohde for his ongoing engagement and for Germany’s unwavering support toward Kosovo and its Euro-Atlantic journey,” he added.

The meeting comes as Kosovo faces increasing pressure to meet the July 26 deadline set by the Constitutional Court for the formal constitution of the Assembly, a condition that remains unmet after more than 40 failed attempts.

Germany remains one of Kosovo’s strongest diplomatic allies, consistently advocating for political stability and reforms aligned with the country’s European integration agenda.
