Ramush Haradinaj, the candidate for prime minister from the AAK coalition, Nisma, Lista Konservatore, and Forumi Intelektual E-30, is currently in the United States attending the inauguration of President Donald Trump.

Expressing his deep honor at being invited, Haradinaj shared details of several significant meetings on Facebook.

“I am deeply honored to start this festive inauguration weekend of President Trump, invited by our friends from Iowa, marking this historic moment. It was of extraordinary importance to meet Matthew Whitaker, President Trump’s nominee for U.S. Ambassador to NATO, Senator Joni Ernst, and Congressmen Randy Feenstra and Zach Nunn from Iowa,” Haradinaj wrote.

Prioritizing Kosovo’s NATO Membership

In these discussions, Haradinaj emphasized Kosovo’s strategic goal of direct NATO membership and strengthening the strategic partnership between Kosovo and the United States.

“The connection between Kosovo and Iowa, initiated through the State Partnership Program between the Iowa National Guard and the Kosovo Security Force, is vital for achieving our NATO ambitions,” Haradinaj explained.

A Broader Strategic Partnership

What began as a military partnership has evolved into a broader strategic relationship, encompassing education, economy, and culture. Haradinaj highlighted Iowa’s pivotal role in Kosovo’s journey toward NATO integration and praised the unwavering support of the Iowa National Guard.

“Today, we stand not only side by side in peace but also serve together in missions for security and peace, showcasing the strength of this partnership,” he added.

As he celebrates the weekend marking Trump’s inauguration, Haradinaj expressed his profound gratitude to the people of Iowa for their steadfast support.
