The Chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, hosted a meeting today with Eirik Nestås Mathisen, Norway’s Special Representative for the Western Balkans.
Mathisen was accompanied by Fredrik Onstad, an advisor at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Armend Mehaj, Kosovo’s former Minister of Defense.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the current political and security developments in Kosovo and the wider region, the country’s Euro-Atlantic perspective, and opportunities for deepening bilateral cooperation between Kosovo and Norway.
Haradinaj expressed high appreciation for Norway’s role and contribution to supporting peace, stability, and development in the Western Balkans, as well as in building democratic institutions in Kosovo.
“Grateful for Mr. Mathisen’s engagement and for the commitment of the Norwegian state to Kosovo,” Haradinaj concluded.
