The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, has reacted following the recent search-and-rescue operation carried out by the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) at Lake Ujman, emphasizing the importance of coordination with international allies and the indispensable role of NATO in the country.
“Our alliance with NATO, led by the U.S., is essential for Kosovo. Decisions made in coordination with our allies are inevitably in favor of our sovereign state and its future,” Haradinaj wrote in a Facebook post.
He stressed that “the stakeholders of Kosovo’s statehood cannot be overlooked,” underlining the need for the inclusion of all institutions and international allies when making sensitive decisions concerning the country.
Haradinaj also expressed gratitude for NATO and KFOR’s continuous support in strengthening the capabilities of the KSF, while offering condolences to the family of the citizen who tragically lost his life during the incident.
