Today marks the 26th anniversary of the Massacre in Lubeniq, Peja.
On April 1st, in the early hours of the morning, military, police, and paramilitary forces surrounded the village of Lubeniq, which lies at the foot of the Albanian Alps, between the villages of Raushiq and Strellc.
To honor the 26th anniversary, the leader of the AAK (Alliance for the Future of Kosovo), Ramush Haradinaj, paid his respects at the martyrs’ cemetery in Lubeniq, Peja.
Many people lost their lives and were massacred in this tragic event. Even today, 26 years later, the pain of the families for their loved ones continues to endure.
