The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, has proposed October 12, 2025, for the holding of local elections. This proposal was made during a consultative meeting with President Vjosa Osmani and other political entities, as reported by Ekonomia Online.
Haradinaj announced his suggestion via a Facebook post, stating his hope that the President will exercise her constitutional right and consider this proposal.
His full post read: “Dear citizens, Today, in the consultative meeting called by the President of the Republic, Ms. Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, for setting the date of municipal elections, I proposed that these elections be held on October 12, 2025. This date is fully in accordance with legal deadlines. I hope that the President will exercise her constitutional right and take this proposal into consideration.”
