On the 81st birthday of former President Ibrahim Rugova, Ramush Haradinaj, leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), recalled his collaboration with Rugova, emphasizing their joint efforts to overcome deep divisions within the country.
Haradinaj highlighted Rugova’s support during critical moments, including times when he faced international legal challenges. “With President Rugova, I worked closely in the early years of our independence, during pivotal moments of national importance. Together, we managed to eliminate the pronounced divisions within the country. On his birthday, I remember his ideas, his positions, and his support when I was facing international justice. Happy birthday, President!” Haradinaj stated.
Rugova, widely regarded as a symbol of peaceful resistance and the architect of Kosovo’s independence, continues to inspire Kosovo’s political leadership and citizens.
