The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, expressed indignation over the fact that the mayors of Srpska Lista in the northern municipalities “have removed the symbols of the Republic of Kosovo and the photograph of the President.”

Haradinaj demanded that these symbols “be urgently restored to their rightful place.”

He also called on the international community specifically the EU and the US “to use their influence to ensure that the mayors from the Serb community respect the Constitution and the laws of Kosovo and carry out their work in harmony with them.”

Haradinaj made this statement in a Facebook post in which he also congratulated the mayors from his party for taking their oath of office.

“I congratulate all mayors who have taken their oath, with special emphasis on the five mayors from the ranks of AAK, and I encourage them to continue their work in the interest of citizens and always in accordance with the law and the Constitution.”
