The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, met today with the British Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves, to discuss the country’s political situation and future Euro-Atlantic integration.
During the meeting, Haradinaj expressed serious concerns over the ongoing institutional deadlock in Kosovo, emphasizing the urgent need for resolution.
“I expressed my concern about the urgent need to overcome the institutional blockade, which must be resolved after August 8, when we expect clarity from the Constitutional Court. The functioning of institutions is essential for democratic stability and Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic orientation,” Haradinaj stated.
He also emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral ties with the United Kingdom and praised Britain’s continued role in supporting security and stability across the Western Balkans.
“I reiterated our commitment to Euro-Atlantic integration and requested the United Kingdom’s support for Kosovo’s membership in NATO,” the AAK leader added.
Kosovo continues to pursue NATO membership as a strategic objective, seeking broader international support for its security and political aspirations.
