The British Ambassador, Jonathan Hargreaves, commented on the current election results, stating that it is important for Kosovo that the Assembly and the new government are formed as soon as possible.
“In order for Kosovo to serve all of its citizens and fully engage in making progress in the EU-facilitated Dialogue, Kosovo is a close and valued partner of the United Kingdom, and I look forward to continuing our cooperation under the new government,” said the British diplomat.
Hargreaves expressed his satisfaction in seeing many citizens of Kosovo on election day, exercising their democratic right to vote.
“We are pleased to have been able to deploy a strong team of observers alongside the EU Election Observation Mission. I congratulate Kosovo for a peaceful and calm electoral process, with the participation of all communities. For such a young country, the strength and functioning of Kosovo’s independent institutions is clear,” he said to Klan Kosova.
“The remaining process towards the official certification of the results should now continue smoothly and without delays,” further stated British Ambassador Jonathan Hargreaves.
