British Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves, emphasized the importance of an independent Constitutional Court.
He met today with the President of the Constitutional Court, Nexhmi Rexhepi. Hargreaves stressed that the decisions of the Constitutional Court must be respected and implemented by political leaders.
Earlier this month, Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti criticized the Constitutional Court, describing it as a “political shadow of the opposition” against Vetëvendosje.
“Britain expects that the decisions of the Constitutional Court regarding the formation of the Assembly will be respected and implemented by political leaders, in order to end the prolonged deadlock in Kosovo and allow the Assembly and a new government to work in the interest of the people of Kosovo,” Hargreaves wrote on X.
