British Ambassador Jonathan Hargreaves today participated in the commemoration of the International Day for the Victims of Enforced Disappearances by paying tribute at the memorial dedicated to those missing due to violence during the Kosovo war.

Hargreaves stated that to heal the wounds of the past, families of the missing must receive answers.

“Today, to mark the International Day of Victims of Enforced Disappearances, I had the honor of joining Prime Minister Kurti and the families of the missing to pay our respects to the 1,585 individuals who are still missing from the conflict in Kosovo. To heal the wounds of the past and to live a peaceful future, families of those still missing must have answers regarding the fate of their loved ones,” he wrote.

Alongside the British Ambassador, the American and French Ambassadors were also present. Additionally, Prime Minister Kurti paid his respects together with Deputy Speaker Saranda Bogujevci and Foreign Minister Donika Gërvalla.
