The British Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves, visited today the President of the Supreme Court, Fejzullah Rexhepi, to discuss the smooth conduct of the electoral process and the role of the Supreme Court in it.
Rexhepi informed Hargreaves that all appeals against the Electoral Complaints and Appeals Panel (PZAP) have been addressed and resolved within legal deadlines.
“President Rexhepi briefed the ambassador on the Supreme Court’s role in electoral processes, noting that all administrative appeals against PZAP decisions regarding the recent local elections were handled and decided within legal timeframes. This ensured equal treatment for all complainants. Furthermore, all decisions were published on the Supreme Court’s official website, reflecting full institutional transparency. The Supreme Court President expressed confidence that the upcoming early national elections on December 28 will also be fair and democratic, with the Court contributing through timely and proper adjudication of appeals,” the statement read.
Ambassador Hargreaves appreciated the Supreme Court’s role and thanked Rexhepi for his work, reiterating the United Kingdom’s support for the Supreme Court and the entire judicial system.
“The ambassador, recognizing the Supreme Court’s role in this process, thanked the President for his work and reaffirmed the UK’s support for the Supreme Court and the judiciary as a whole.
