Minister of Justice Albulena Haxhiu has announced that confiscated properties will be provided for the use of survivors of violence.
In a Facebook post, she shared that she visited a family to wish them “happy days in their new residence.”
“Today, I visited one of the families to wish them happy days in their new residence. Confiscated properties will be given one by one for the use of survivors of violence,” Haxhiu wrote.
The Agency for the Administration of Seized or Confiscated Assets has confiscated properties, hundreds of vehicles, and other assets.
The agency also manages other seized assets such as gold jewelry, phones, valuable items, and narcotics. Money is kept in the Central Bank of Kosovo, while real estate properties are often given to institutions for use.
