Lutfi Haziri, Vice President of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), has stated that the Constitutional Court should play a decisive role in overcoming the current political crisis in the country. He noted that the ongoing failure to elect a vice-president from the Serb community has worsened the situation, leaving Kosovo without a fully constituted Assembly or a government.

Haziri explained that the Assembly is not fully constituted until the entire leadership is elected. He believes that since political leaders have failed to find a way to cooperate and respect the spirit of the constitution, the court must now step in to resolve the deadlock. In his view, the Constitutional Court remains the only “guardian of the republic” in this situation.
