A large number of citizens are attending the funeral of Faton Hajriz in the village of Klinë e Ulët in Skenderaj.
Reports indicate that long lines have formed on all sides leading to Hajriz’s hometown.
The funeral ceremony is also attended by Faton Hajriz’s parents, who are accompanying their son to his final resting place.
Hajriz had been in the spotlight for several weeks after managing to escape from the Smrekonicë Correctional Facility.
After being on the run for a few days, Hajriz was killed by Serbian police forces at the border between Serbia and Bosnia.
