The Regional Water Company “Prishtina” has issued an urgent public warning due to rising water levels caused by ongoing heavy rainfall across the region.

According to weather forecasts and current measurements, there is an increased risk of flooding in low-lying areas and near riverbanks in the coming hours.

Preventive Measures for Public Safety

KRU Prishtina is advising all citizens to take the following precautionary steps:

  • Avoid movement near rivers and water channels.
  • Do not park vehicles in low or flood-prone areas.
  • Secure basements and indoor spaces to prevent water intrusion.

The utility company stated it is fully mobilized with both technical and human resources to respond as needed and assist customers during this period.

Call to Stay Informed

KRU Prishtina urges residents to closely follow official announcements and guidance issued by relevant institutions to ensure safety and prevent damage.

This advisory comes amid continuous rainfall affecting several municipalities in Kosovo, with other institutions, including police, issuing similar warnings to drivers and residents.
