A significant figure is arriving in Kosovo today. Prime Minister Albin Kurti confirmed this news during yesterday’s government meeting.
He announced that Thomas Goffus, NATO’s Assistant Secretary General for Operations, will be visiting today.
Kurti mentioned that the discussions will include the issue of opening the central bridge over the Iber River in Mitrovica.
“In all these meetings, the issue of opening the central bridge over the Iber River in Mitrovica is naturally on the agenda. We are conducting all necessary consultations and completing our internal tasks, such as addressing the preliminary draft for the bridge’s physical stability while we await the final report, as well as preparations for the bridge’s appearance and the surrounding area cleanup,” said Kurti.
“The opening of the bridge represents freedom of movement, which is a fundamental right both in Kosovo and in the European Union,” Kurti emphasized.
Kurti reminded that last week he met with William Burns, the head of the Central Intelligence Agency, and Admiral Stuart Munsch.
He highlighted that the support from these officials is “steadfast” and that their shared commitment “is serious and productive in the service of peace and security.”
