NASA has launched the historic Artemis II mission, marking humanity’s return to the path toward the Moon after more than 50 years since the Apollo program.

This is the first crewed mission of the Artemis program and will send four astronauts into orbit around the Moon for approximately 10 days.

The flight is being carried out using the Orion capsule and the powerful Space Launch System rocket.

Although the mission will not include a lunar landing, it will play a crucial role in testing key systems such as navigation, communication, and life support… all essential for future missions that aim to land humans on the Moon again.

During the journey, astronauts will travel farther from Earth than any humans since 1972, venturing even beyond the far side of the Moon — a significant milestone in modern space exploration.
