Houthi rebels in Yemen reported that Israel conducted heavy airstrikes on the capital, Sana’a, on September 10, 2025. Details about specific targets or casualties remain unclear.

Anees al-Asbahi, spokesperson for the Houthi-led Ministry of Health, and military spokesperson Yahya Saree confirmed the attacks. Israel has not yet responded to these claims.

Historically, Israel has carried out strikes in response to missile and drone attacks from Houthi forces, who are designated a terrorist organization by the United States. The Houthi movement receives backing from Iran and also supports Hamas, a Palestinian group recognized as a terrorist organization by both the US and the EU.

Since the outbreak of the Gaza conflict in October 2023, Houthi forces have launched rockets and drones towards Israel and targeted ships in the Red Sea, escalating regional tensions.
