Kosovo’s Director General of Police, Gazmend Hoxha, presented a special retirement gift to the U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, in recognition of his dedicated service and support. The gift included a Police flag, a certificate of appreciation, and a Police insignia engraved with “Jeffrey Hovenier 007,” referencing the iconic “James Bond” movie series.

The Police’s official statement noted that Hoxha, along with the executive staff, expressed their deep gratitude to Ambassador Hovenier for his unwavering support and contributions to the development of the Kosovo Police.

The certificate reads: “In honor and deep gratitude for your continuous support and assistance to the Kosovo Police, for your exceptional dedication in the development and enhancement of the Kosovo Police’s skills, and for your advocacy for the rule of law and democratic principles, which we consider essential for a successful police agency. The Kosovo Police remains committed to our shared vision of a multi-ethnic, fully integrated force that represents all citizens of Kosovo. Your physical presence will be missed, but your legacy will remain forever.”

The “007” code is a nod to the famous James Bond movie series, symbolizing Hovenier’s special role in Kosovo.
