The U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, held a farewell meeting today with Kosovo’s Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz.
As part of the meeting, the two visited the memorial complex dedicated to Jusuf and Bardhosh Gërvalla in Dubovik, Peja.
“It was a privilege to join Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Gërvalla-Schwarz at the memorial complex honoring her father and uncle, Jusuf and Bardhosh Gërvalla, in Dubovik for our farewell meeting. We discussed the progress Kosovo has made during my tenure and the U.S. government’s continued commitment to advancing Kosovo’s European and Euro-Atlantic path,” Ambassador Hovenier stated.

Hovenier’s tenure in Kosovo has been marked by significant strides in bilateral relations and Kosovo’s progress on its European integration path. The visit to the memorial complex underscored the shared values and deep ties between the U.S. and Kosovo.
