In a series of farewell meetings, U.S. Ambassador Jeffrey Hovenier met with the commander of KFOR, General Enrico Barduani, to express the United States’ continued commitment to NATO’s mission in Kosovo.
Ambassador Hovenier emphasized that the United States has been a significant contributor to NATO’s Kosovo Force (KFOR), which has played a vital role in ensuring a safe environment and freedom of movement for all citizens of Kosovo. He reiterated the U.S.’s unwavering dedication to promoting regional stability.
“The United States is a key contributor to NATO’s mission in Kosovo – KFOR, and we remain committed to it, ensuring a secure environment and freedom of movement for all the people of Kosovo, while promoting stability in the region,” said Hovenier during the meeting.
The meeting also underscored the enduring partnership between the U.S. and NATO in supporting peace and stability in the Balkans.
