American Ambassador Jeffrey Hovenier stated that since 1999, the United States has supported demining activities in Kosovo.
He noted that through these efforts, over 23 million square meters of land have been cleared.
Hovenier expressed that the successful clearance of mines in Zatras National Park brings us one step closer to the goal.
“Since 1999, the United States has supported demining activities in Kosovo, which have cleared over 23 million square meters of land and demonstrated a long-term commitment to a mine-free Kosovo. The successful clearance of Zatras National Park brings us one step closer to our goal,” Hovenier wrote on “X.”
