The Statistics Agency of Kosovo has today published the results of the population, household and housing census. According to preliminary data, Kosovo has 1 million 586 thousand 659 residents. But how is this population distributed in the municipalities?
Based on KAS data, the municipality with the most inhabitants is that of Pristina, with 227,154 inhabitants. After the capital is the Municipality of Prizren with 147 thousand 428 inhabitants, followed by Ferizaj with 109 thousand 345 inhabitants.
Meanwhile, in the municipalities in the north of the country, the population is as follows: North Mitrovica 2 thousand 346 inhabitants, Leposavic 3 thousand 207 inhabitants, Zubin Potok 758 inhabitants and Zveçan 435 inhabitants.
The acting head of the Statistics Agency of Kosovo, Avni Kastrati, was largely boycotted.
