During his official visit to the United States, the General Director of the Kosovo Police, Colonel Gazmend Hoxha, held a series of formal meetings, including one with Iowa Secretary of State, Paul Pate.

According to the Kosovo Police, the meeting was held at the Iowa State Capitol, where Hoxha was accompanied by Drilon Zogaj, Head of Mission for the Consulate of the Republic of Kosovo in Des Moines, as well as First Secretary Fatmir Rrahmanaj and Colonel Mentor Shabani.

“The meeting was of particular importance, as it focused on discussions about further cooperation in the field of security,” the statement reads.

This visit reflects the growing partnership between Kosovo and institutions in the U.S., especially in security-related areas. The Iowa–Kosovo cooperation has deepened in recent years through National Guard exchanges, police collaboration, and public safety programs.
