Kosovo Police held a media conference today, presenting the work and activities of the force, including a report from the North Mitrovica Regional Directorate, as well as updates on community policing, sectorial officers, and cooperation with citizens, media, and NGOs.
The Director General of Kosovo Police, Gazmend Hoxha, stated that the Kosovo Police continues to be one of the most trusted institutions in the country.
Hoxha emphasized that the journey of the Kosovo Police, since its establishment, has always been built on democratic and professional values.
He also addressed the resignations of Serbian police officers in the northern part of the country, noting, “After the mass resignations of our colleagues in North Mitrovica, the Kosovo Police opened three recruitment processes specifically for minorities. During these three recruitment rounds, we hired approximately 170 police officers. However, 12 of them resigned under pressure from various groups,” Hoxha said.
