The General Director of the Kosovo Police, Gazmend Hoxha, held a press conference where he spoke about the recent incident during the graduation parade of Serbian students in the north of the country.

According to Hoxha, the police intervened due to provocations by some participants in the café area, who had chanted nationalist slogans and made provocative gestures.

“Some participants provoked individuals in the café area with chants like ‘Kosovo, the heart of Serbia’ and the three-finger salute. In these circumstances, in order to prevent escalation, police officers assigned to oversee the event intervened. They requested that no provocations take place,” Hoxha stated.

He emphasized that the response of the police was aimed at maintaining public order and peace, and to prevent the situation from escalating. He added that the students had been warned in advance to avoid gestures and actions that could incite tensions.
